God is the Supreme Being
Q1. Who is God?
God is the Supreme Being. The word supreme means above all others. God is the source of all being. He is above all the exists.
Sacred Scripture
The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in shrines made by man, nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all men life and breath and everything. Acts 17:24-25
Catechism of the Catholic Church
300 God is infinitely greater than all his works: "You have set your glory above the heavens." Indeed, God's "greatness is unsearchable." But because he is the free and sovereign Creator, the first cause of all the exists, God is present to his creatures' inmost being: "In him we live and move and have our being." In the words of St. Augustine, God is "higher than my highest and more inward than my innermost self."
